I don't mind it, but I also don't get it. I need silence to concentrate and I just assumed that somehow the noise from their iPod was what they needed to concentrate. Now I have something else to consider: Maybe they're in a comfort zone, a "happy place," with their music on their iPod and that helps them to feel comfortable enough to focus and concentrate. It's an interesting idea...and another reason to love where I teach! Thanks for something else to think about. (And yes, everyone DOES want to know what you're thinking...or at least I do!)
:-) V.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35717060.post-1172618092702655662007-02-27T15:14:00.000-08:002007-02-27T15:14:00.000-08:00Thanks for remembering "Madness Dancing" after 25 ...Thanks for remembering "Madness Dancing" after 25 years! I do have an aversion to them in public, but that is a bias for sure. I feel that they are barriers constructed for isolation, and reflect an unwillingness to engage. Yet, there is always a good reason for an oasis.

BillAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
